How it works
You create the account yourself: enter your email address, type in the code from the mail, done. No password, nothing to install, and the first seven days are free. Then: allow the microphone once, and the first conversation can begin.
LoreLuna asks, she tells. One question at a time, at her pace: the house she grew up in, the first money she earned, the day everything changed. Whatever she’d rather not talk about, she just says: not today.
After the conversation, the story names itself and takes its place in the sky. She sends her listeners a share link, and they simply ask: out loud, in their own voice. The answer comes from her stories.
For whom
Usually a grandchild or a daughter sets LoreLuna up. The grandparents tell. Asking and listening is for everyone who belongs.
Setting up
You request access, set up the sky, and stay the family’s anchor: for the first conversation, for the invitations, whenever help is needed. The account is yours; the telling is hers.
Telling
No password, nothing to install: signing in is a code by email. Then one big button, large type, her pace, and LoreLuna addresses her formally or informally, as she prefers. She decides what is told and what the family gets to hear.
Listening
Whoever is invited opens the share link, no account needed. Listeners ask their questions out loud and hear answers from her stories. Every share can be revoked at any time; access ends immediately.
The voice
No questionnaire, no form: LoreLuna asks out loud, she answers out loud. A conversation, like at the kitchen table.
Every story is preserved as text, with the full transcript of the conversation beside it. Renaming, correcting, deleting: she simply says so in the conversation, or types it right in the story.
And when she sets up her author voice, the text gets her voice back: LoreLuna reads to her from it and answers the family’s questions the way she told them.
The starry sky
Her sky grows with every conversation. A star for the bakery at the market, one for the summer of 1961, one for the letter from Canada she never otherwise mentions. Every story names itself, with place, people, and time attached. Ask, and her voice answers.
The family
You invite whoever she wants along.
Siblings, children, the cousin in Canada. Everyone opens the same link, each for themselves, whenever it suits: they ask what they want to know and hear answers from her stories. And the grandchildren who are still too young today can ask their own questions later.
Her sky at the center, the listeners around it
Your sister wants to know how grandpa ended up in Munich back then. She opens the link and asks, in her own voice. The answer comes from his stories, and from nothing else.
Every finished story appears as a new star in her sky. Each visit, you see it fill.
A share link opens the sky for the listeners, no account needed. If it goes unused for a long time, access expires on its own. And every share can be revoked at any time; access ends immediately.

Telling a life takes trust. We treat the recordings accordingly.
Twelve stars that already mean something
Recordings, transcripts, stories, and account data live on a server in France (OVH). For the spoken conversation, speech recognition, and the automatic answers we work with providers that also process in the USA. Who they are and what goes there is stated openly in the privacy policy.
A starry sky is private from the start. Only people you personally invite can open it and ask their questions.
We don’t sell your data and don’t pass it on for advertising. The stories are meant for the people you share them with, and are not public.
Data in the app can be deleted: conversations, transcripts, stories, recordings. Honestly: in the beta, copies at providers, in server logs, and in backups cannot yet be verifiably deleted along with them. That does not apply to the author voice model; its deletion is verified. And you can take everything with you at any time: the whole archive as a download, with stories, transcripts, and recordings.
Frequently asked
No. LoreLuna runs in the browser on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. She signs in with a code she receives by email, no password, and allows microphone access once. Nothing more is needed.
No. The whole conversation is spoken: LoreLuna speaks, listens and follows up, and she simply answers. Even when a story should get a different name or be deleted, she says so in the conversation.
Then she simply says so, and LoreLuna moves on. There are no mandatory questions, no questionnaire, no order to follow. A finished story can also be deleted later.
Only the listeners she invites. The starry sky is private from the start. To share, she creates a personal share link in the app; whoever has it can ask questions and hear the answers from the shared stories, no account needed. Access stays alive as long as it is used, and every share can be revoked at any time: access ends immediately.
A voice model created from her voice samples, when she sets it up herself and explicitly consents. LoreLuna uses it to read texts from her archive in her voice and to answer the listeners’ questions in conversation, questions that are generated automatically in that moment.
Without consent, no voice model is created. She can revoke the consent at any time, on its own, without deleting her account or archive; the deletion at the speech provider is verified. After that, a neutral voice reads again, and LoreLuna shows it. The interview is always led by LoreLuna’s neutral voice, never her own.
No. Questions and answers in LoreLuna are generated automatically, not written by a human. The listeners are recognizably speaking with LoreLuna and not with her, even when the author voice answers. The answers draw on the stored content of that archive.

The stored data lives in the EU; the server is in France (OVH). For the spoken conversation, speech recognition, and the automatic answers, data is processed in the USA. A set-up voice model is stored there as well. Which providers these are is named in the app’s privacy policy.
Yes. Individual stories or the whole archive can be deleted in the app. An honest note for the beta: copies at providers, in server logs, and in backups cannot yet be completely and verifiably deleted along with them. We are working on it. For the author voice model, deletion is already verified.
LoreLuna is currently a closed test with invited families and costs the test participants nothing. At the open launch, LoreLuna becomes a subscription with a free trial; we will announce the prices well in advance. Feel free to get in touch before then.
