How it works

I

Start simply

Enter your email address, type in the code from the email, and allow the microphone. No password, nothing to install, and no credit card for the first seven days.

II

Tell

LoreLuna asks one gentle question at a time and listens. The storyteller sets the pace and decides what to talk about.

III

Find and share

Your finished story appears in your archive as a star. You can read it, listen to it, and share it with selected people.

“It feels like magic. I just talk, and it becomes a story.”
Bernhard, 90
“Once I started talking, the experience became very engaging. I liked the follow-up questions, as they made me remember details, emotions and values I probably wouldn’t have captured on my own.”
Sarah, 63

For whom

Whose story would you like to preserve?

LoreLuna is for your own life story and for the memories of people who matter to you.

Tell it yourself

My own story

Preserve memories at your own pace. LoreLuna follows up and helps turn what you tell into clear stories.

Start together

Someone important

Help a parent, grandparent, or another important person get started. The storyteller remains in control and sets the pace.

Preserve together

Stories that connect us

Preserve memories that connect you and share finished stories with the people you choose.

The voice

Telling is spoken.
Not typed.

No questionnaire, no form: LoreLuna asks out loud, and the storyteller answers out loud. A conversation, like at the kitchen table.

Every story is preserved as text, with the full transcript of the conversation beside it. Renaming, correcting, and deleting can be done in the story or in the next conversation.

With an optional author voice, LoreLuna can read texts from the archive in the storyteller’s voice and answer questions about the stories.

From conversation to star

  1. Conversation. A person tells; LoreLuna listens and follows up. Spoken, not typed.
  2. Story. LoreLuna writes down what was said, gives the story a name, and keeps the transcript with it.
  3. Star. The story appears in the personal sky and can be shared with invited people.

The starry sky

Every story gets a name.

The personal sky grows with every conversation. A star for the bakery at the market, one for the summer of 1961, one for the letter from Canada. Every story gets a name; place, people, and time stay connected to it.

An example starry sky: eight named stories, joined into a constellation The red bicycle The summer of 1961 The bakery at the market How we met The first winter in Hamburg Father’s workshop The letter from Canada A Sunday, 1971

Sharing

Share stories with the people you choose.

The storyteller decides who may listen.

Invited people can hear shared stories and ask questions whenever it suits them.

The personal sky at the center, invited people around it

Just ask

Invited people can ask questions in their own voice. The answer is grounded in the shared stories in that archive.

Find stories again

Every finished story appears as a new star. The personal sky grows conversation by conversation.

Inviting, revoking

You choose who receives access. Every invitation can be revoked at any time.

Trust

What is told stays with the people you choose.

Telling a life takes trust. We treat the recordings accordingly.

Twelve stars that already mean something

Stored in the EU

Recordings, transcripts, stories, and account data live on a server in France (OVH). For the spoken conversation, speech recognition, and the automatic answers we work with providers that also process in the USA. Who they are and what goes there is stated openly in the privacy policy.

Private from the first word

A starry sky is private from the start. Only people you personally invite can open it and ask their questions.

No ads, no resale

We don’t sell your data and don’t pass it on for advertising. The stories are meant for the people you share them with, and are not public.

Delete whenever you want

Data in the app can be deleted: conversations, transcripts, stories, recordings. Honestly: in the beta, copies at providers, in server logs, and in backups cannot yet be verifiably deleted along with them. That does not apply to the author voice model; its deletion is verified. And you can take everything with you at any time: the whole archive as a download, with stories, transcripts, and recordings.

Frequently asked

What people want to know before starting.

Do I have to install anything?

No. LoreLuna runs in the browser on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Sign in with a code sent by email, without a password, and allow microphone access once. Then the conversation can begin.

Does the storyteller have to type anything?

No. The whole conversation is spoken: LoreLuna speaks, listens, and follows up. Changes can be made later in the story or during a conversation.

What if someone does not want to talk about something?

A short answer is enough, and LoreLuna moves on. There are no mandatory questions and no fixed order. A finished story can also be deleted later.

Who has access to the stories?

The starry sky is private from the start. Only selected people receive an invitation. Every invitation can be revoked at any time.

What exactly is the author voice?

A voice model created from voice samples when the storyteller sets it up and explicitly consents. LoreLuna can use it to read texts from the archive and answer questions about shared stories.

Without consent, no voice model is created. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without deleting the account or archive. A neutral voice then reads again. The interview is always led by LoreLuna’s neutral voice.

Are the answers from a human?

No. Questions and answers in LoreLuna are generated automatically, not written by a human. Listeners are recognizably speaking with LoreLuna, even when the author voice answers. The answers draw on the shared content of that archive.

Which languages does LoreLuna speak?

German, English, French, and Italian. In German, the storyteller decides whether LoreLuna uses formal or informal language.

Where is the data stored?

The stored data lives in the EU; the server is in France (OVH). For the spoken conversation, speech recognition, and the automatic answers, data is processed in the USA. A set-up voice model is stored there as well. Which providers these are is named in the app’s privacy policy.

Can I delete everything again?

Yes. Individual stories or the whole archive can be deleted in the app. An honest note for the beta: copies at providers, in server logs, and in backups cannot yet be completely and verifiably deleted along with them. We are working on it. For the author voice model, deletion is already verified.
